New Holme For Forest Women
Nottingham Forest Women have officially designated the facilities at Holme Road as their permanent training ground, marking a significant step in the club’s continued development.
This move comes after a substantial investment from club owner, Evangelos Marinakis, whose support has helped elevate the women’s first team to full professional status.
The newly renovated and modernised pitches at Holme Road will provide the ideal environment for players to train and further improve their performances, boosting their ambitions of achieving an unbeaten season in the league.
Under the leadership of head coach Carly Davies, the team has made significant strides, both on and off the pitch. In addition to the top-tier playing facilities, the squad will maintain their gym, sports science, analysis and recovery programs at the Nigel Doughty Academy.
This dual-facility setup underscores Nottingham Forest Women’s commitment too building a sustainable, high-performance culture, positioning the team for long-term success in the competitive landscape of women’s football.
Head of Women’s and Girls Football, Amber Wildgust, said: “In recent weeks, we have invested heavily in the grass surfaces at Holme Road to create a space we can truly take pride in.
“This investment reflects our Owner’s commitment to providing the women’s first team and girls’ academy with the resources needed to achieve high performance and realise our ambitions as a modern day Football Club.
“Holme Road, with its historic significance, will become a space exclusively for our women’s team. We are excited to carry the legacy of the Brian Clough era as we work towards the future of building a successful, professional Nottingham Forest women’s team.”
