Lyndon James linked up with Slater who passed his fifty for a second wicket partnership of 62 before James was caught and bowled Croft on 29.
Haseeb Hameed lasted just seven balls for four runs before suffering the same feat at the hands of Danny Lamb, the big wicket then fell of Slater, for an impressive 104, Liam Hurt getting the huge scalp of the Chesterfield Churner for his team.
Matthew Montgomery and Liam Patterson-White raced the score on over 270 before LPW went to the bowling of George Balderson for 15. Ben Hutton helped Notts reach 300 before Montgomery fell on 78 with Fateh Singh out first ball, Hutton then falling on 24 with three balls of the innings remaining.
