Panthers Announce Brassard To Stay
Another positive addition to the Nottingham Panthers roster next season is the announcement yesterday of J.C. Brassard who’s committed to stay at the Motorpoint Arena for the forthcoming campaign.
The club state that J.C. iced in 67 games across all competitions for the Panthers during the 2021/22 campaign, registering 37 points (7 goals & 30 assists) in the process from the blue line.
Prior to joining to Nottingham Panthers the defenceman spent the entirety of his professional career in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL) with the South Carolina Stingrays, Greenville Swamp Rabbits, Utah Grizzlies & Tulsa Oilers after leaving Union College, who play in division 1 of the NCAA’s men’s ice hockey tournament – the highest level of NCAA men’s ice hockey competition, once he completed his fourth year with the programme.
J.C. is looking to build on an impressive debut campaign in Nottingham that saw him become a firm fan favourite with his eye-catching style of play, he was voted “Player of the Month” on two separate occasions by the Panthers’ fans, and will once again wear #13.
His capture for the Elite League season ahead is in addition to recent renewals of Jeremy Welsh, Matthew Myers, Jordan Kelsall, Jack Hopkins and Archie Hazeldine whilst one big mover to Nottingham from Coventry Blaze incoming is GB international forward Luke Ferrara.
The clubs pre-season gets under way on Saturday 27th August with a home match against Sheffield Steelers, followed by an away game a day later in South Yorkshire. A week later, the Aladdin Cup faces off with a home and away game against Cardiff Devils.
