Rockets Pick Revealed

Trent Rockets have completed their line ups for the upcoming Hundred season with a few usual suspects and a couple of new faces making up the men and women’s teams for this summer’s second ever franchise competition.

Whilst many of the Trent Bridge based teams players had already been secured before the draft was made, there was a few spaces left over for the Rockets to fill and joining as a top earner from Northern Superchargers last season is Yorkshire batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore who’ll pocket a cool £125,000 for his work over eight games.

Gloucestershire all-rounder Iain Cockbain also joins the Rockets, as does New Zealand International Colin Munro who top scored for Manchester Originals last year. Luke Fletcher joins a six strong Nottinghamshire contingent with the likes of Alex Hales, Samit Patel, Matt Carter, Steven Mullaney and Tom Moores also looking to build on their achievements that got them to the Eliminator match and one game from the final last year.

Joe Root and Dawid Malan will again be the central contracts whilst Afghanistan bowler Rashid Khan will be the top earning overseas star.

The women’s team has Australian World Cup winning captain Meg Lanning joining Nat Sciver as the Rockets top earner whilst Lanning’s international team-mate Alana King also joins with South African Mignon Du Preez the third overseas star plying her trade this year in NG2.

England stars Katherine Brunt and Sarah Glenn will again represent a team looking to improve on their debut season seventh placed finish.

Trent Rockets Women start their campaign on the 13th August at Manchester Originals ahead of the men who play later that same day, the male team however start their season a week before, at home to Birmingham Phoenix on Saturday 6th August in what will be no doubt, a packed Trent Bridge.
