Panthers Bring Back Lee

The Nottingham Panthers are pleased to announce the return to the roster of the team’s legendary number 45 Steve Lee.

The Great Britain defenceman helped the club to lift twelve major trophies during a ten-year spell in the black-and-gold before moving back to Guildford Flames and on to Italy over the past two seasons.

Director of Hockey Gui Doucet says “the negotiations to bring the solid, right-handed defenceman back to the Panthers’ blueline were straight-forward and swift.”

Doucet himself along with Head Coach Tim Wallace, were confirmed as returning to the club for next season and they promised early signing news for fans who are eager to hear about the club’s roster plans on the back of the team’s success in the Elite Series.

Negotiations with other players including several who helped lift the Elite Series’ crown are in progress as are talks with other players from “outside the most recent roster”.

Ollie Betteridge and Josh Tetlow are two names that have agreed to sign for the foreseeable.
