Swan Extends Stay At City Ground
It’s been a fabulous few weeks for young Nottingham Forest striker Will Swan who only days after making his football league debut for the club has now signed a four year contract that will see him stay in Garibaldi red until 2024.
A player who has impressed current Manager Chris Hughton, Swan was drafted up from Andy Reid’s under 23’s to feature on the bench (not used) at Bournemouth before making his Championship debut as a substitute against Swansea City at the City Ground and following that up late on against Reading at the weekend in the Reds defeat at the Madejski Stadium.
Local born Swan stated on his twitter “hard work starts here” and hope is that the young 20-year-old forward can go on to score his first goal for the clubs first team before long.
Elsewhere in the Academy the U18’s were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup yesterday, beaten by Bristol City in round three by two goals to one at the City Ground.
Dale Taylor gave Forest the lead before the Robins levelled from the spot and a red card for Jordan Fankwe provided the visitors hope which turned to reward as a deflected effort before half time was enough in the end to see them through.
