The Motorpoint Arena has shown its appreciation to the NHS with a rainbow emblazed love heart with the words ‘thank you’ painted onto the centre of the Nottingham Ice Rink which has also been sprayed blue.

The Arena socially announced on Twitter yesterday “In a UK first, we’re delighted to bring you Arena Blue Ice with a huge rainbow to recognize the extraordinary efforts by NHS and social care workers during the current crisis”

The Motorpoint Arena has been closed for action since March with the residents Ice Hockey team Nottingham Panthers unable to continue or restart their EIHL campaign with all concerts off until the new year at the earliest.

There is good news however for ice skating fanatics who can attend an ice skating experience this weekend with prices from £4 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday whilst NHS staff and Social Care workers can enjoy a FREE skate today with sessions running throughout the day.
