Notts T20 Fixtures Announced

Notts Outlaws will take on Yorkshire Vikings in the first T20 Blast match of the season at Headingley later this month. The opening round of fixtures for a new shortened format will start on Thursday 27th August with a 6:35pm start in Leeds with the match live on Sky.

Notts will play ten games in total in the group stages with six at home as they bid to reach the finals of a tournament they won in 2017.

Peter Moores, Head Coach of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club told the Trent Bridge webstite in hearing the news “The start of the Blast tournament is always exciting. T20 is a form of the game where things happen quickly and that can make for great entertainment.”

“It’s a tournament we played good cricket in last year and we’re proud of our consistent T20 record as a club.”

“We have special memories from when we lifted the trophy in 2017. The objective for this year is to make some more.”

Notts who lost to Yorkshire yesterday in the Bob Willis Trophy will welcome back white ball specialists Harry Gurney and Alex Hales for the T20 opener but the match (along with all others) is still likely to be played behind closed doors – until further notice.

After the trip to Headingley, Notts take on Durham at the Riverside two days later before hosting Yorkshire at Trent Bridge on bank holiday Monday and in September they take on Lancashire, Leicestershire and Derbyshire twice before taking on Durham to close group proceedings.

With three regional groups of six teams the top two in each group along with the two best third place teams will qualify for the quarter finals which will be played on the 1st October with the finals day two days later.
