Ramshaw In At The Bay
Nottingham Rugby have signed Jack Ramshaw from Chinnor RFC as the second row joins Willie Ryan and Carl Kirwan in moving North from the Oxfordshire National League 1 club.
Ramshaw is 26 years old having played for London Irish, Yorkshire Carnegie and Rotherham he leaves a side that finished fourth in last seasons prematurely ended third tier table and joins second tier Championship side Nottingham adding more physicality and skill to the clubs forward line.
Green & Whites Head Coach Neil Fowkes pleased with sealing the signature of Ramshaw stated “Jack gives us strength in the second-row and he brings great experience to the team. We’re delighted to be able to bring in somebody of Jack’s quality and we’re looking forward to seeing him get going in the new season.”
As well as Ramshaw coming in to the club, two stars have also penned their relationship with the team further as Jake Farnworth and Oisin Heffernan have committed themselves for another season at the Bay.
25 year-old Hooker Farnworth formerly of Leicester Tigers is a product of the Nottingham Trent University Rugby Union programme and has played 31 times for Nottingham whilst Irishman Heffernan, also 25 is an Academy graduate of Leinster and has previously played for Ireland U20’s and since joining the Green and Whites in 2018 has played 44 times for Nottingham scoring 3 tries.
