Another New Signing For Stags

Mansfield Town are keeping up their frantic acquisitions pace as another new star is welcomed by all at the One Call Stadium. This time the Stags have signed midfielder Ollie Clarke who was a firm favourite of his Manager Graham Coughlan whilst at Bristol Rovers.

28 year-old Clarke, a Bristolian born and one who came through the Academy at the Gas has made over 250 appearances for Rovers and is a tenacious midfielder with League One and Two pedigree having enjoyed two promotion seasons during his fifteen plus years at the club man and boy.

The Stags have signed Clarke on a two-year deal with Coughlan full of praise for the midfielder who for the last four seasons has played League One football.

Coughlan stated “Ollie is a top player who has showed his capabilities in League One.”

“I’ve brought him to Mansfield because of his character, work-rate, attitude, commitment and honesty; Ollie epitomises everything about Mansfield Town Football Club.”

“I think he’ll be a real fans’ favourite here, like he has been at Bristol Rovers in the past ten seasons.”

Clarke himself, excited by a new challenge and club said “As soon as I spoke to them, and I knew they were interested, I just wanted to get the deal done.”

“I worked with the manager last season and really enjoyed it. “I like the way he works and trust his views on the game, and this is a club which is looking to progress. They were big factors in me coming here.”
