South Notts Cricket League Announce Fixtures
Edging nearer to season start is the Gunn & Moore South Nottinghamshire Cricket League which is just under a month away now with Kirkby Portland Cricket Club hosting Hucknall’s second XI in the opening match of the season in Division C on Saturday 18th April 2020.
A week later Hucknall’s third team are in action as they host Caunton at the New Gatehouse Ground in Division G whilst Newark Ransome & Marles 2nd XI take on West Bridgfordians 4th XI in Division K.
Two more games make up the fixture calendar for Saturday 25th April with Basford Mill 2nd XI taking on Poplars at Nottingham City Hospital in Division L whilst Kirkby Portland 3rds will host Long Eaton 3rds in Division N.
The real excitement begins however on Saturday 2nd May when Division A teams start their 2020 summer campaign of cricket with the opening round of fixtures.
Last seasons champions Clifton gained promotion to the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board Premier League so this season’s favourites might be runners-up Ellerslie who open up their fixture programme by playing West Bridgfordians who finished third last year in what looks to be a tasty local derby tie at Little Bounds.
Newly promoted as Division B champions Gedling & Sherwood travel to the idyllic Belvoir CC whilst Calverton who were also promoted as runners-up in Division B host Collingham & District who finished last season in seventh place in Division A.
Elsewhere Gedling Colliery relegated from the Ouzat Cricket League host Balderton at Plains Road whilst Notts Unity Casuals entertain Cavaliers & Carrington at the Brian Wakefield Memorial Ground.
As well as a full programme in Division A they’ll be fixtures in all other divisions through to N with the draws for the Popkess Cup, Chris Trafford T20 Trophy and Raleigh Cup all available on the PlayCricket.com website.
