Stags Host Table Toppers

Mansfield Town are in action this weekend against the best team in League Two as Swindon Town visit the One Call Stadium for a 3pm kick off on Saturday.

The Robins have lost just eight of their 34 league games this season and currently lead the table two points clear of Crewe Alexandra and have already beat the Stags earlier in the campaign when a Eoin Doyle goal was enough to give Richie Wellens side victory at the County Ground in November.

Since that match Swindon have won nine of their last fifteen league matches whilst the Stags have won only three in their last sixteen league games and have changed Managers too.

Graham Coughlan has injury concern with Matt Preston (hamstring) whilst Alex MacDonald and Kellan Gordon will certainly be missing.

The Robins could have the tricky Keshi Anderson back from injury and will look to include the leagues top goalscorer Eoin Doyle and the exciting Jerry Yates in their matchday squad.

The Stags who lost 1-0 at Cheltenham at the weekend in a match where they were largely the better side currently lie in 21st place twelve points above Stevenage in the only relegation slot knowing a victory will consolidate their status above the drop zone.

Tickets are available with adult prices starting at £22.

Ahead of the match defender Ryan Sweeney stated “We want to attack these last 11 games to give us that momentum heading into next season. Hopefully we can do that, starting with Saturday”

He said “Since the gaffer has come in I think it’s been there for all to see that there have been improvements.”

“Fitness levels and performance levels, collectively and individually, have gone up. We would have liked more points on the board since the gaffer has come in – I think our performances have warranted that.”
