Four More Rockets Added

Trent Bridge based womens hundred over cricket team Trent Rockets have added four more international players to their 2020 playing roster.

In come Sarah Glenn, Katheryne Bryce, Beth Langston and Mady Villiers joining a squad coached by Sallian Briggs having already announced Nat Sciver, Katherine Brunt, Sophie Molineaux and Elyse Villani late last year.

With the women playing one home game at Trent Bridge as well as one in Leicester and two in Derby this summer 20 year old England International Sarah Glenn born locally and enthusiastic by her move to the Rockets said “”I grew up in Derby and I’ve played all my cricket there so when we play at Derbyshire it’s going to be particularly exciting”

Like Glenn, Mady Villiers is also an England International spin bowler and aged just 21 is an exciting prospect in the competition. On joining forces with Villiers for the Rockets Glenn stated “I’m pleased that Mady’s part of the squad, we’ve got to know each other well at England level”.

27 year old Beth Langston is a member of England’s 2017 World Cup winning team whilst Kathryn Bryce is an international with Scotland.

The Hundred kicks off for Trent Rockets Women on 25 July 2020 with the Welsh Fire visiting Trent Bridge for a tasty first encounter that also includes the mens teams as a double header of cricket.
