Carlton Pen Three Young Stars

Carlton Town have rewarded three of their players with new contracts following their magnificent start to the season as those from leagues above draw their attention like hawks to the Millers best young available assets.

Striker Aaron Opoku has committed to the club in recently signing a new contract as have Niall Davey and Toby Moore who are all “very much part of what we are trying to develop here” said Manager Tommy Brookbanks who already has the likes of Oliver Clark and goalkeeper Jack Steggles tied up to the club.

Brookbanks stated “We have had approaches for players whom the manager of that side has not even watched, we are obviously big news at the moment because of our league position and I have asked the Chairman and board to support us in building on the good work already done with these young players”

Brookbanks who along with Joint-Manager Mark Harvey joined the Millers in the summer and has seen the clubs performances from one that regularly struggles in the lower reaches of the Northern Premier League’s second tier improving to one that is now challenging at the top which is testament to a Managerial team that know the division having done so well with the likes of Loughborough Dynamo and Coalville Town in recent seasons gone.

The Millers are currently third in the table on 28 points just two points behind leaders Stamford and Leek in second who they host on Saturday in a tough and tasty encounter at the Bill Stokeld Stadium.
