Panthers Star Against Dundee

Nottingham Panthers 5-2 Dundee Stars (Elite League) 30.10.19

Nottingham Panthers stormed to victory in Elite League Hockey action last night as they ‘eventually’ comfortably saw off visitors Dundee Stars 5-2 to pick up their second successive home win.

The Panthers hit the lead on 4.29 as Brett Bulmer slid the puck home and Tim Wallace’s men went in 1-0 up at the first break.

The second period was quickly tied before captain Sam Herr re-established Nottingham’s lead to give the home side a 2-1 advantage into the third.

The final period didn’t go all to plan however as Dundee levelled for the second time on the night on 43.15 but just three minutes later Jake Hansen had the Panthers back in front and from there it was all one way traffic.

Hansen shot home his second of the night before Brett Pierlini netted to give a much needed victory that takes Nottingham to eleven points from thirteen played.

After the game Head Coach Tim Wallace stated “winning is a good feeling” suggesting his side “controlled the game against a scary team with speed and dangerous forwards” with everyone “pitching in” for victory with focus now turned on this weekends double header Challenge Cup tie against Manchester Storm starting at the Motorpoint Arena on Saturday (7pm) with a visit to the North West the following day with a 5:30pm face off.
