Panthers Sign Talbot

Nottingham Panthers have signed Canadian centre Julian Talbot in a roster strengthening appointment that looks to add some much needed quality into the Panthers attack.

The six foot 34 year old forward has over 300 AHL games under his belt and has two DEL titles in Germany playing over 6 seasons for the Eisbaren Berlin team.

After starting his career in the Ontario Hockey League in 2002 with Ottawa 67’s Talbot scored near 100 goals in his four seasons before moving to Alaska Aces before a short spell at Providence Bruins where he made his American Hockey League debut in 2006.

He signed for Peoria Rivermen and was a regular points scorer for three seasons before joining Lake Erie Monsters prior to his stint in Germany.

Most recently Talbot has played at EC KAC of the Austrian Erste Bank League scoring 13 regular season goals in 53 appearances.

In all AHL games including playoffs Talbot has participated 317 times with 76 goals and 100 assists.

A much needed boost to the Panthers line-up the club are said to be working on the paperwork to ensure they get him signed up and ready to play at the earliest opportunity.
