Reds Hoping To Pick Points At Cherries
After a disappointing two-nil defeat against Barnsley at the weekend, Nottingham Forest will look to improve on their result at Oakwell against a serious promotion pusher this evening as the Reds travel to Bournemouth, recently relegated from the Premier League who currently sit second in the Championship table.
Cherries Manager Jason Tindall has done a fantastic job so far since taking over from Eddie Howe and his team are just one point behind leaders Norwich City after twelve games of the season whilst Forest lie twentieth with an eye over their shoulder on the relegation places.
Forest played well in parts against Barnsley who have proved to be a bogey team of late, winning three matches in a row without conceding against the Reds but tonight see’s a different test completely against a side who dropped down from the top flight and have ambition for an immediate return.
Reds manager Chris Hughton is expected to make changes with youngster Will Swan set to be included in the traveling party as the former Newcastle and Brighton gaffer stated “With the volume of games we have, all of our team selections will get to the stage where you have to use the squad and think about the type of game that it is.”
“It is very difficult as a manager in this division now to continue to play the same team with the volume of games that we have. There will always be some bearing on the opposition, but also the quick turnaround.”
“The balance for all of the managers and coaches, is that it is the same for everybody. For every frustration that we have, every manager in the division is having the same. It is down to management and a feel for the players.”
Samba Sow will still be missing, as will Lewis Grabban, Joe Worrall and Tyler Blackett and these absentees have offered the chance for Reds under 23’s striker Will Swan who has impressed for Andy Reid’s youngsters.
Harry Arter will be fit to face his old club in an 8pm kick off at the Vitality Stadium with a boost for fans who can watch the game on Sky Sports.
