Precious Win In Race For Second

Nottingham Forest Women beat AFC Fylde yesterday with another goal for star striker Precious Hamilton as the Reds forward netted her 21st of the season.

The Reds 48th minute winner at Kellemargh Park was enough to stretch the clubs unbeaten league run to seven matches against a ninth place Fylde team with Forest now third in the Northern Premier Division National League table three points ahead of Stoke and just one point behind Derby in second with two games in hand.

Leaders Sunderland are out and away with an eleven point lead having dropped just two points this season but Forest feel their chance of a top two finish is high with an upcoming fixture against Loughborough Foxes at home on Thursday 19th March.

Forest will play Loughborough at Eastwood CFC with a 7:45pm kick off which is free for NFFC Season Card holders or £5 adults and £2 children.

A win will take the Reds to second and above local rivals Derby who play Huddersfield on Sunday at the same time as the Reds take on leaders Sunderland up in the North East.

In the East Midlands Womens Football League Premier Division at the weekend Mansfield Town Ladies were comprehensively beaten 1-5 at home to Rotherham whilst bottom of the table Rise Park Ladies lost 3-0 at Outibridge and in Division One North, Worskop beat Notts County Development 2-0 at Sandy Lane.
