NSL Preview: Southwell Clinging On At Top

In the Samba Nottinghamshire Senior League, supported by Euro Soccer Company, Premier Division leaders Southwell City will attempt to keep their noses in front when they travel to Platt Lane to take on Keyworth United.  Bingham Town are in second, on the same number of points as Southwell but with two games in hand.  They welcome Wollaton to Butt Field.

If both of the top two lose, Burton Joyce can join them on 48 points with a win against Magdala Amateurs at Roko, while Woodthorpe Park Rangers will be looking to break into the top three as they head to St Giles to play Sandiacre Town.

Calverton Miners Welfare will be without the suspended Corey Ashley and Dane Bennett as they welcome AFC Dunkirk to Hollinwood Lane.

Cotgrave, who have lost only once in their last 10 outings, travel to The Shilo to take on Awsworth Villa, who only have one win from their last six games.

Aslockton & Orston entertain Stapleford Town at Spa Lane and Attenborough’s new management team will be attempting to keep up their 100% record since taking charge as they host Bilborough Town at The Strand.

FC Cavaliers and Eastwood CFC DEvelopment both go in search of their third win of the campaign when they meet at the Forest Sports Zone.

In Division One, Ravenshead play at home to Radford Reserves and have last season’s captain Josh Broad back in the squad following his midweek transfer from Awsworth.  The Reds have a trio of ex-Radford players in their ranks with Martin McDonagh and brothers Keenan and Anthony Edwards looking to start, along with Perris Thomas and Joe Maguire who have also recently just re-joined the Cornwater outfit.

Leaders AFC Top Valley host fourth-placed West Bridgford AFC at Eagle Valley while second-placed Ruddington Village head to the Memorial Ground to take on Southwell City Reserves and third-placed Beeston visit the Wharf Lane home of Radcliffe Olympic.

In Division Two, leaders United Grays travel to Butt Field to play Bingham Town Reserves while second-placed Ruddington Village Reserves, who are six points behind but with four games in hand, make the journey to the Harvey Hadden Sports Complex to play bottom side Bilborough Town Community.
